Blessed Melanie Calvat, messenger of the Virgin Mary whom she had seen crying at La Salette, said of the future Apostles: “It is the desire of God and the Mother of Mercies that the Order should begin and stand as a rampart before the nearly general APOSTASY”. Since the purpose of the Apostles of Infinite Love is the preservation of the Deposit of Faith, our most important works are prayer and sacrifice. In many places our chapels are open to the public: we offer traditional religious services, religious instruction in all its forms and the administration of the sacraments. Here is a quick overview of some of our Canadian centres:
Our Lady of the Nations Mission in Toronto is well attended. In addition to prayer services, religious education is offered to children and adults. Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors in this city, the mission of Our Lady of Nations contributes greatly to the sustenance of the Mother House and the House of Bread in Quebec City.
The Order of the Magnificat of the Mother of God has two centres in British Columbia: Whonnock and Burnaby. The ministry of our members consists primarily of praying and serving God. The apostolate is carried out through the administration of the sacraments, spiritual guidance, and the distribution of the Magnificat calendar.
